    • After (Ephesians 2:4-10): Our relationship with God is revived.
Action to Consider: Live daily in the awareness that you are a beloved child of God, empowered by His grace to walk in new life.

    • Before (Ephesians 2:11-12): We lived life with no purpose in the world.
Action to Consider: Recognize how Jesus has given your life purpose, and use every opportunity to reflect His likeness to the world.

Our Journey in Learning from the Apostle Paul

1. Before Jesus: Ignorance of Evil and Satan’s Deception

  1. Ephesians 2:1
“And you were dead in your trespasses and sins.”
Action to Consider: Remember that apart from God, life was spiritually lifeless. Let this truth inspire you to pursue God’s intentions for your life.

  2. Ephesians 2:2
“In which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the disobedient.”
Action to Consider: Recognize Satan’s schemes to spread false narratives and lies. Stay rooted in Scripture to discern truth from deception.

  3. Ephesians 2:3
“We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.”
Action to Consider: Resist the pull of worldly values that prioritize self-service and gratification. Surrender daily to God’s higher purposes.

2. After Jesus: Transformation and New Relationship with God

  1. Ephesians 2:4-5
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!”
Action to Consider: Celebrate God’s love and mercy in restoring your life in Christ. Share this good news with others.

  2. Ephesians 2:6
“He also raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavens in Christ Jesus.”
Action to Consider: Walk with confidence, knowing that you are spiritually seated with Christ. Approach every situation with the authority and privilege of being God’s child.

  3. Ephesians 2:7
“So that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace through His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”
Action to Consider: Trust that God’s blessings, both now and in eternity, are evidence of His kindness. Walk by faith, knowing greater rewards are to come.

  4. Ephesians 2:8-9
“For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—not from works, so that no one can boast.”
Action to Consider: Stay humble and grateful, knowing your salvation is a gift. Share this gift of grace with others through acts of kindness and love.

  5. Ephesians 2:10
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”
Action to Consider: Align your daily life with God’s purpose for you. Seek opportunities to reflect His nature in all you do.

The Otherworldly Work of Jesus

  • Jesus’ teachings reveal truths about unseen realities.
Action to Consider: Admit your need for Jesus’ wisdom and teaching. Spend time in His Word to understand the unseen spiritual realities shaping your life.

  • Our greatest challenge is living transformed lives.
Action to Consider: Embrace the challenge of living in light of Jesus’ work. Let His teachings guide your thoughts, actions, and priorities.

My New Reality

“I am a transformed child of God, equipped to grow in my relationship with God as my true Father.”

Action to Consider: Repeat this truth daily as a reminder of who you are in Christ. Let this identity shape every aspect of your life, giving you the confidence to grow in your relationship with God and reflect His love to the world.
